THE FAZES
BIO
The Fazes are a femme-fronted band from San Diego, CA formed by songwriter Isela Humerez. Hailing influence from electronic new wave and garage rock, the band creates a unique dance sound best described as disco punk. Funky bass lines and disco drum beats can be heard supported by a contrast of gritty synth tones and lead guitar riffs. Originally a group of close friends who taught themselves to play, the band has steadily grown and since gone on their first national tour supporting fellow San Diego band Beach Goons. The momentum following tour has continued to invite the band to play at festivals such as Nothing Fest in Orange County, be featured in articles and public radio stations, as well as have been nominated in several categories at the San Diego Music Awards. The band is currently recording a new EP further developing and exploring their own style.

PRESS
"The Fazes just released a new single this September, 'Remote Control,' which is a fuzzy, synthed-out grungy pop song. I love the lo-fi nostalgia that shines through, and the lyrics are equal parts angry, fed up and dystopic nursery rhyme. There's something tragic and yearning in this track, and all of their stuff." -KPBS Arts & Culture
"Dancing disco trances and secret bittersweet romances- The Fazes deliver the soundtrack for the youth through their haunting lyrics and unbeatable kicks." - Velvet Noise Music
